These design guidelines and illustrations were produced for the Los Angeles City Planning Department as a companion to the newly enacted Small Lot Ordinance. The guidelines offer suggestions for how to design projects that enhance the public realm, blend in to their surroundings, and that minimize the overall presence of the automobile and favor the pedestrian.
